Teacher - Apple
Greeting cards with a story. Each card is 4x6 and comes with its own envelope. All cards are wrapped in a compostable plastic sleeve. Your purchase means a local charity gets a donation. All cards are painted by hand, then scanned and printed in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada.
THE STORY
The Teacher was inspired by my mother's profession and from my own. I never wanted to become a teacher in high school and fought against it for a long time. I would volunteer from time to time in my mom's elementary school classroom. I would read stories to them and help out. After working with a Phys. Ed. class, I realized that I was good at breaking down tasks into little pieces so they could be understood. Of all of the careers I was looking at - journalism, fine arts, performance - this was the one common thread. At the last minute, I applied to the Education program and got in. I have been teaching high school for 20 years and have loved every day that I go to work.
